I led the delivery of the Coal Reserves Determination (CRD) system for the Alberta Energy Regulator (AER), replacing a legacy mainframe application with a modern, fully integrated COTS‑based geological modeling and reserves‑calculation platform. The goal was to enable accurate coal‑reserve calculations across Alberta townships, incorporate geological and mining‑engineering parameters, and introduce 3‑D subsurface visualization — capabilities the legacy system could not support. The project followed a stage‑gate delivery model.
