What clients say after switching from Proxify

Their hiring process is extremely selective. The developer that I work with are on par with devs that cost companies $185,000 a year.

I don't write code. My fear was paying for 'mystery hours'. I love RocketDevs for solving that problem!

I found RocketDevs while searching for how to hire African developers, and I got exactly what I needed. Great in house to help manage my tech startup. These guys really helped me grow while maintaining a lean budget. I highly recommend RocketDevs, great company to find talented developers.

I hired a developer from RocketDevs and he was great. We built my automation software together and I'm impressed at the how incredibly talented this developer is. I'll highly recommend RocketDevs because they're the company every start-up needs when it comes to software development. Amazing job guys.

RocketDevs has been instrumental in helping us scale our development team without breaking the bank. The caliber of developers they offer is impressive, and the cost savings are substantial compared to hiring in-house or using other outsourcing options. Thanks to RocketDevs, we've been able to accelerate our product development timeline and focus on growing our business.

I got to commend RocketDevs on their customer service. My first dev didn't work out and they replaced him within 24 hours.

Weekly demos, zero 'mystery hours'. Best offshore experience I've had in 10 years.
u/PM_in_PJs
I wanted devs from other regions in Africa. Took a while for me to find a match but it was worth it. and I think they need to expand their pool of devs as well.
Ahmed
I only decided to hire from rocketdevs because I was too occupied to handle the hiring of fiverr and it turned out to be better. The meeting with the project manager was very productive, seeing as I got 2 developers that completely matched my expectations.
Grey M.
I'm not experienced with building software, much less managing contracted developer, however Rocketdevs's platform was surprisingly efficient and distilled the process down to me only having to make the decisions. The initial vetting process was on point.

Where Proxify is the stronger choice

No platform wins on every count. These are the places Proxify is genuinely the better call, taken from its own published material and from independent reporting, so you can weigh them yourself.

  • Strong trust signals

Proxify’s independent reviews run broadly positive, with responsiveness, onboarding and staff quality coming up again and again.

  • Competitive pricing for its category

Proxify publishes an example of $5,600 to $8,800 a month for one senior developer at 40 hours a week, which works out at $35 to $55 an hour. Among premium networks, that is genuinely competitive.

  • A free trial before you commit

Proxify says clients get a free trial and are not charged if they are not satisfied.

  • An ongoing capacity model

Testing, interviews, matching and account support are handled for you, which suits a team buying continuous capacity rather than a single hire.

Questions

RocketDevs vs Proxify: common questions

Is RocketDevs a good Proxify alternative?

Yes, though Proxify is a serious competitor rather than a soft one. It provides ongoing developer capacity, screens with background checks, technical testing, and live interviews, offers a free trial, and carries a strong independent reputation. RocketDevs does the same job at published rates of $9.99/hr to $30.99/hr, with flexible engagements, part-time or full-time, and working hours listed per profile so you can match your day.

How much does RocketDevs cost compared to Proxify?

RocketDevs has one public rate card: $9.99/hr Associate, $21.99/hr Mid-senior, $30.99/hr Senior. A full-time Associate is about $1,598 a month, and a full-time Senior is about $4,958. Proxify publishes an example of $5,600 to $8,800 a month for one senior developer at 40 hours a week, which works out at roughly $35 to $55 an hour. Put your own Proxify quote next to these numbers, since both sides vary by developer.

Do RocketDevs developers overlap with European working hours?

Many do, but check it per developer rather than taking it as a platform guarantee. Every profile carries that developer's working hours, so you can choose someone whose day lines up with yours, in the EU or anywhere else. Time is tracked with screenshots every 3 minutes, so the overlap is checkable rather than promised.

How does RocketDevs vetting work?

Each developer we admit completes 6 to 8 hours of assessment: live coding, system design, code review, and a communication screen. Over 98% of applicants are rejected. In 2025 we assessed 11,422 developers and placed 223, a 1.95% acceptance rate, inside our top 2% range.

What if the developer is not a fit in the first two weeks?

The 14-day money-back guarantee covers exactly that. Tell us inside the window and you get a refund or a replacement developer. Proxify runs its own risk reversal, a free trial with no charge if you are not satisfied, and its agreements typically carry a notice period once the engagement starts, so compare what each one actually covers.

What happens if I want to hire the developer permanently?

It is a defined step, not a grey area. You give RocketDevs prior written notice, agree a reasonable wind-down period for the developer, which may be 30 days, and pay a flat buyout fee by level: USD $5,000 for Level 1 Junior, USD $7,000 for Level 2 Mid-senior, and USD $9,000 for Level 3 Senior, payable within 30 days of the direct hire. Level 3 applies where the Talent Outline Plan does not specify a level. The fee is capped and published rather than a percentage of salary. The cooling off period is twelve months, covering the developer's work for you plus 12 months after, or 12 months from introduction if you never engage them, and it is narrow: it applies to the individual developer introduced to you, not to our wider network. After that window no buyout fee is payable at all.
